Frances Widdowson was a tenured professor who was wrongfully terminated from Mount Royal University in 2021. She is currently a board member of the Society for Academic Freedom and Scholarship and a Senior Fellow with the Frontier Centre for Public Policy. Widdowson is the author, with Albert Howard,  of Disrobing the Aboriginal Industry: The Deception Behind Indigenous Cultural Preservation (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2008) and Separate but Unequal: How Parallelist Ideology Conceals Indigenous Dependency (University of Ottawa Press, 2019). She is also the editor of Indigenizing the University: Diverse Perspectives and is one of the contributors to the book Grave Error: How The Media Misled Us (and the Truth about Residential Schools).
